[Council to J. Daffin.]
Sir. We have heretofore given recruiting
orders to Mr Thomas Sparrow, and an order payable to Majr Thomas Muse for
one hundred pounds to be delivered out occasionally as recruits came in.
Major Muse being since dead, the service cannot go on, unless another person
be appointed who will act. Mr Sparrow writes that you will receive the
money and deliver it out, forty shillings are to be given per advance.
We send you an order on the Treasurer of the Eastern Shore for £100
currency, and request you would deliver the money out as recruits may come
in.
