    William Richardson Daffin married Mary Jane Ely on June 30, 1840. He was 32 years of age.

    Mary Jane Ely was born on September 20, 1816 in Plymouth, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Dr. Horace Ely. Mary Jane died in Marianna, Jackson Co., Florida on March 30, 1882 at age 65.
