Philip Dickinson Daffin 

	Savannah, Georgia has the nickname "Forest City" due to the accomplishments of Philip Dickinson Daffin. After serving four years in the Confederate Army and a brief stint as a seaman, he settled in Savannah and eventually became chairman of the Park and Tree Commission.     Frances Gregoire Roulhac Daffin married John Williford Covington on November 25, 1874  in Marianna, Jackson Co., Florida when she was age 29.
