DAFFIN- On Friday 19th ultimate at Sheffield, England from a severe attack of a few days illness, Benjamin Daffin, Sr. in his 77th year. Of him it may be truly said he died a true Christian. He had been a member of the Methodist denomination upwards of fifty years.
He married Mary Grundy in Sheffield, England, April 19, 1794. Benjamin Daffin, Sr. and Mary Grundy were married on April 19, 1794 at the Cathdral of St. Peter in Sheffield, England. (Mary Grundy #3.)
The HALLAMSHIRE CUTLER records show a Benjamin, son of George, husbandman of Youlgreave, indentured as an apprentice in 1787.
