BENJAMIN DAFFIN 1801 - 1877

Benjamin Daffin was born Nov. 13, 1801,
in England, to Benjamin Daffin, Sr. and his wife Mary (Grundy) of Sheffield.
He emmigrated to the United States, first to Philadelphia, Pa. and married
Mary Fisher, July 17, 1824. They had children, Robert Swan Daffin, b. 1827
and Mary Daffin, b. 1829.
In 1830 he moved to Baltimore,
Md. He made his living as a cutler and was one of the founders of the American
Order of Odd Fellows and was an active member up until his death at the
age of 74. |
